a/c not working
Is your air conditioner not turning on?
There are a few things you can check before you call an air conditioning contractor. First, check that the thermostat is set on “cool” and below the current room temperature.
Still not working, below are the next things to check:
- Check your main electrical panel and any secondary circuit panels for a tripped breaker or blown fuse. If you find the problem here you will need to reset the breaker or replace the fuse.
- Check that the furnace power switch is turned on and that the outdoor condenser’s power switch which is mounted on the outdoor unit, is turned on.
- If you have checked all of the above items and the air conditioner is still not working it’s best to call an authorized air-conditioning technician to review the issue.
