drain cleaning
If the sinks in your home are draining slower and slower, read on for tips on drain cleaning!
Clogged drains can become a larger problem in your home due to the build up in pipes over time. The best way to avoid a large problem is to perform periodic drain cleaning.
Food scraps and grease in the kitchen sink and hair in the bathroom sink will cause your drains to clog. Young children are notorious for tossing small toys down the sink or toilet which will lead to the need for drain cleaning.
We recommend you try eco-friendly drain cleaning. Remove any standing water in the sink. You will need: 1 cup baking soda, 1 cup table salt, 1cup vinegar. Pour one cup of baking soda followed by one cup of table salt into the drain, then pour in the cup of vinegar. Wait 15 minutes and flush it with boiling water. If your drain is still clogged, you can try using a plunger to “plunge” the drain.
If this does not correct the problem, it is time to call your local plumber. Professional plumbers have the right equipment to work on tough drain clogs such as high power water jetting, camera inspections to locate the issue and electronic locating for underground drains are all available.
